thanks jerry acrylics are great in many ways i've grown pretty familliar with working quickly with them. the downside is they dry a value darker which can be disconcerting... but overall i really love working with them! patti
I saw your "rose" entry on the DPW Challenge today and decided to check out your site- I'm thrilled that you paint in acrylics and your work is just beautiful! I just attended a Carol Marine workshop, and your style is similar (with a little more color!) I can't wait to see more of your paintings!
Hi Christy - yes, i paint in acrylics. oil too but mostly acrylics. i think its because i'm just not patient enough for the oil to dry. i love doing a painting and having it be dry right away. the only problem is that sometimes if i don't finish a painting within an hour and 1/2 it can be a problem - so i have to work fast. everythings a trade off, but in general i like em and am used to their properties.

Great painting. You have a great way of manipulating acrylics.
